They've binned off S/X because they're ancient, shit and not selling any. There's only so many software updates you can do to convince the tech-bros that your models are still cutting edge. But they're still a stock which the public can purchase, and publicly traded stocks are subject to strict regulation and reporting requirements. Meaning the memeness of it, while amusing for a minute, is laid bare. It's just the same as any bubble. The same people probably bought NFTs.

Which to be fair I think is the biggest hurdle driverless taxis have- how to judge that someone is so hammered they need to tell than to jog on because they’ll spew allover your interior, and shit themselves on your seats

Everyone looks at the driving of these things, and no one looks at the people getting in without a person to make them take responsibility
