Mobile screen lagging.
Mobile screen lagging.
I've had my S23 Ultra since they came out and the screen is starting to slow. Often when you use 2 fingers to zoom in nothing happens for the first couple of attempts. Can anything be done or is it time for a new phone?

That sounds very odd. Do you have a screen protector on it?

No idea, but how much of a pain is it to back everything up and do a factory reset on the handset?

This.
My old iPhone SE2 is doing the same regularly, generally after doing something too quickly for it and it feels like it engages in a memory drain and slowly glides towards inaction. Reboot and it's good to go.

Re: Mobile screen lagging.
I was forced to update my 13mini at Christmas to be able to download an app to use something I was bought. Instant lag and making the phone feel like crap.
Not as bad now, but wish there was a way on older phones to just be able to have the new security updates and bug fixes without all the extra bollocks.

It gets turned off at least once a week, this has been happening for a while.
Re: Mobile screen lagging.
Try a factory reset (as Mik suggested )
Failing that get a price for a screen replacement.
If you cba with that, get a new phone
I take it you’ve done a search to see if it’s a known problem?

It's not a know issue that I can see. It's around £200 for a new screen, a lot to spend it it doesn't cure it! I'll see what the S26 launch brings next week. If nothing new as predicted I'll probably get a OnePlus 15Marv wrote: Thu Feb 12, 2026 11:06 am Try a factory reset (as Mik suggested )
