I always thought of it as blowing smoke up people who perceive themselves as rich, rather than people who actually are, essentially done for those who require to be told they’re special at every possible moment of their lives

When you get carpets cleaned, they do that fan shape.. doesn’t make your carpets any cleaner probably, but at least you can see they’ve gone over everywhere and care about doing their job well! I put anything a valeter does above the required work in the same category.. a nicety that shows they appreciate the work

Our local Lithuanian Hand Job place runs the carpets through a little machine.

No badges or fans but perfectly clean

I agree with Matt - like towels folded into swans in a hotel room or whatever. Shows some pride in what may be considered a menial job.

That 911 though; the seat fabric is a check pattern so the stripes clash horribly. Needs to do tartan stripes on the mats.

I’m with Rich ( not literally) I hate the stripes, I hate stupid patterns, they all look tacky.

I’d rather have all the pile uniform for a clean simple look.

I’d prefer they spent time cleaning than wasting time making patterns.

Not real, but interesting.
(The car is real, but from his other posts - it’s not transparent).
