I've missed the i3s over the last 18 months and been looking at buying another but they havent depreciated at all and can't face paying the same as what I sold mine for 18 months ago

I started looking at new EV's like the Ionic 5N but they were still very expensive to insure for my kids which is something I'd like to do so we all get to enjoy the fun car. Stumbled across a couple of threads about people replacing their i3's with a Smart#1, had a quick drive and look around one at the Mercedes dealer and thought they were fantastic. Bonus points for being really cheap to insure at circa a grand for the 4 of us even for the 430bhp Brabus.

I've paid a deposit and waiting for confirmation that they have a black one available.

Nice! I forgot they existed - I've yet to see one, yet they do look quite good to my eyes. £46k for a Smart car though (I know, RRP is largely moot these days). Remember when they were marketed as tiny cars you could park perpendicular to a space?

My Ioniq6 goes back in March but I'm struggling to find enthusiasm to replace it at the moment, in fact still looking for an old CR-V second car..

I think Porsche’s base of the rear wiper arm is the best position, relatively high up and gets cleaned when you use the rear wiper wash

Any external button seems to get filthy so using the remote is the way I’ve done it for years. I have the foot swipe thing turned on for my Audi but while it opens reliably, it is far too fond of closing on me as I lean in

4 ways I can open the boot. Handle, foot wave, fob and button in the car. I use the fob mostly but when my hands are full it's proper foot wave. However, it can and did get triggered by the cat running under it once or twice...

Watched a Furious Driving vid on a Geely of some sort.

Jesus Christ the touch screen / menu system looked a mess.

Obviously being a modern car it had auto headlights, but if you want to turn them on manually you have to go through a couple of menus on the non-haptic centre screen.

The same to adjust the heated seats. Crazy.

It feels like they’re being designed by people who don’t drive.
