We're only hearing one side of course, but from this account - the response from the clutch manufacturer appears rather dissapointing.
This vid did however transport me back > 30 years to when I didn't get round to sorting the whining gearbox bearing on my SuperStrada. It's slow collapse/self destruction eventually caused so much swarf in the 'box oil that the 1st gear synchro locked that gear onto the shaft. Which would have been inconvenient at any time, but particularly so when I was already doing 70(ish)mph on the M8 whilst in 5th gear. Split the gearbox casing, bent both driveshafts like bananas, destroyed 2 tyres (mahoosive flat spots). Gearbox was toast, but - silver lining - pulling it apart to see if anything could be recovered taught me loads about gearboxes.....![]()
'kin 'ell Mik!
What I liked from the vid was how clearly it was all explained and demonstrated. Seemed fairly difficult to refute to me. Their sole defence seems to be "you shouldn't have driven it".
