What an utterly pointless thing. The aperture it comes out of the ground is seemingly the same width as the screen so you could have an unfoldable version of the same size that just rises vertically out of the ground.

But then you wouldn't need to spend £300k...

Noticed this for sale down the road from a place I was visiting the other day, lovely place, really looks like a great mix of styles and space. Also It was up for £4.5m earlier this year, now at £3.5m and not sold.

Lovely - unfortunately the interior does look like it has been designed to emulate an upscale version of newbuild home in Essex... That can be fixed quite easily with mostly just paint, flooring, etc.

There's definitely too much millenial grey, it looks like it was decorated in that period a few years back when removing every last trace of colour was somehow popular. Defintely a great canvas to work on though, I love how it's a large house, but feels very homely with well proportioned rooms.

That's about 83.724 bazillion times more attractive than that 3500 sqft townhouse over 5 levels you posted previously. :ugeek:

Offer them £1.9 milly due to the upcoming mansion tax.
Think of the headache you’ll save over renovating your current place 😉

That's not far from me, and cheaper than some in the area.

The right amount I'd say, one in one out. :)

Decor would have to change, but it does tick a lot of boxes!

Still seems pricey for a terraced house in Newcastle. Highest price achieved in that conservation area previously is nearly £200k less in Feb 2025.

There's a suspicious patch spreading in one corner of the ceiling in our bedroom. Had a roofer out to look at it, and it is good news as always.

Ridge tiles are all loose, mortar has been badly patched before, the tiles are not sitting flush, and the felt underneath has been poorly fitted.

His verdict was to redo the ridge tiles and replace the felt under the three outermost rows of tiles, then relay them. The flashing isn't leaking, but is badly done. He recommended having it redone while they're up there anyway.

So, waiting for the inevitable quote to land. Before spring I reckon we'll have sunk £10k into plastering, painting, render and roof.

Feel your pain DJ - we need the same on our Kitchen extension. Remove all tiles, replace waterproof course and replace tiles and re-do flashing

Thankfully I've got a guy who's honest and won't rip me off

Oh I forgot another one - it looks like whoever painted the bathroom ceiling didn't use Bathroom paint so it's bubbled and now split. So that will have to be stripped and re-done. I've a mate who's a plasterer so I might just get him to re-do the ceiling

It is all fun.

On the upside when the decorators are done we can move the middle one into his own room. The weekend will be a fun game of taking furniture apart, rebuilding it, then building the new stuff that's being delivered.
