Oh right - in my mind, your trips were a regular thing...

My last two or three trips have been 5 day'ers to Kitzbuhel. Fly to Munich and it's a couple of hours from there in the car. We can do two of us, sharing a car and a double room, all in for about £1000 each.

We've sort of figured out how to save a bit - we tend to stay in a hotel in Oberndorf (about 10 mins in the car from the Kitzbuhel base station) which works out about 20%/25% cheaper than Hotels in town and we rent our gear in a place called Reith (which is on the way in from Munich), again saving a significant amount.

I should be there now but have to skip this year as College Fees are looming large on the horizon for September.

We learned long ago that if you're not into your Apres (which we absolutely are not), staying in the resort is a waste of time. (Having a non drinker mate who doesn't mind driving in the evening helps too. )
