Am I reading this sign correctly?

Post by Gavster »

Trying to find somewhere free to park in Fulham at 7pm tonight, would you agree that this sign means that between 6.30pm - 8pm it's residents only? My only confusion is that it says OR, which suggests only one of those conditions can apply at any point, rather than AND.

Yes, permit holders 6:30 to 8pm.

ETA: unless other signs, you can park on single yellow lines after 1830

Parking is free after 8pm. You can pay up to 6.30pm on Mon-fri but looks like 6.30-8 is residents only.
How about not having a sig at all?

Okay, thanks. I've not been a regular around that area for a few years, and it used to be dead easy to park anywhere after 6.30pm. They've all changed to 8pm/10pm now :( Single yellow might be the way, or just get the blooming district line :x

Weirdly Ringo lets you pay on that code until 10pm!
Unless there's a Controlled Parking Zone sign with different hours, as others have said it's still free after 6.30.

The one I've not tested yet is if the council consider women's football games as a match day when we take the kids to Arsenal...

Oh yeah, that’s odd with RingGo taking your money until 10pm 😂

https://www.lbhf.gov.uk/parking/pay-and ... nd-charges

Weirdly, CPZ S is listed as until 10pm (and hourly rate is dependent on your car’s CO2 and fuel type) which contradicts the sign.. not sure which takes precedence. Also, single yellow parking need separate signed times or it falls into the same as the CPZ ie after 8 or 10pm!… District line it is! 😁

He’s had the pizza by now and it’s probably making its journey down the Thames Tideway 🫡

Also this fecking map

I live in the bottom right, it’s in a blank white shade as it’s all private land with its own weird laws. But H&F put their resident only enforcement camera on the main road leading to it. Call them up about a visitor permit and they say they have no jurisdiction as I don’t live in a parking zone. But I pay them my council tax…

The pizza absolutely slapped, it's a new place called Pizzeria Martina nr Fulham Broadway, it's the sister restaurant to Marta, and they do huge, super thin and crispy Roman pizzas, with a really deep and rich tomato sauce that runs right to the very edge, reducing the amount of sauceless crust to almost zero. they really are very, very good.

I think you might be right :D for the last few years I've been focussed on Neopolitan pizza being the best style and was really enjoying the doughy, puffy crusts, but last night's have really turned my thoughts around to preferring Romana style instead.
