Yes and no I guess, depends how hard you push it.

Its got enough power to spin the wheels at will at 100mph in the wet though so its a bit of a handful.

What is VMax? Around 153mph?

(I was quickly (roughly) calculating your gearing - assuming your telemetry is accurate - 13mph/krpm in 4th, 14.8mph/krpm in 5th, 17mph/krpm in 6th : that's pretty sprinty ratios :geek: )
The speed is GPS generated so should be cock on. The limiter is currently set to 9500 which would be about 163mph in 6th.

Probably yes, his schedule is ridiculous so finding the time isn't easy.

Yeah, that'll do. Looks like it will scamper up to that pretty quickly. 8-)

Listening to this week’s Chris Harris and Friends podcast, he clearly referred to Dan’s car as a kit car (not mentioning Dan by name) before being more complimentary. Thought that was rather mean!

I saw it on Dan's IG feed when he corrected Harris - he could have used a better term, but I don't think he meant it to be mean given the context he was discussing it. Seems he's using "kit cars" in a very broad sense, not "built using some scaffolding at home"

TBH I thought instead of saying "He'll know who he is" I thought he said "you'll know who he is" and I thought Dan had gone international.

I hadn't got round to listening to it yet but someone messaged me on insta to say he thought he was talking about me.

My correction was slightly tongue in cheek, I understand where he was coming from as part of the larger conversation they were having, I also think he probably doesn't realise yet that I run a serious business and its not just a home built car in a shed. Thats down to me to put right when I next see him, hopefully when he drives the car.

Autocar are looking to put their feature online before Christmas and in print just after, hopefully I can use that to forward on to interested parties to show its a proper thing and not just a kit car!

They did mention the Elise while talking about the Ulitma, which is a bit unfair on the Ulitma based on what ive seen of Dans car.

I think they also mentioned @SSO aston blogs?

Did they actually mention the blog or just discuss the article?

Had a call late last week to ask if I could be at Goodwood yesterday with the car, so of course I obliged.

Turns out Alpine had booked the circuit for a customer experience day where 120 or so potential punters would get to drive the circuit, get some hot laps, use the low mu handling pad etc all hosted by the staff from Evo. Sounds great until the Evo guys asked how many cars they'd have, to which the answer was 7.....but 2 need to be on charge at all times, so 5 cars to service 120 people

Unfortunately for Alpine they'd already paid for the circuit hire, so we had the place to ourselves and I spent the day with Stuart Gallagher, James Taylor and Aston Parrot while they did their thing with my car.

Can't wait to see the article 8-)

Keep us posted (as I’m sure you would anyway) - I’d like to see it too. What were their initial responses like?

I concur :D

I don't get to hear it from outside usually so its awesome to hear it blast past, it sounds incredible in the flesh.

Mik - they seemed to like it a lot 8-)

Chris - I wondered about that as I was driving home, I might bring it up with them at some point.
