Lotus is in its MOT… i’d be lying if i wasn’t concerned!

However, on another note it is about a million times better to drive on the road with normal seatbelts! You can look round junctions, open the passenger window, adjust the de-mister jets, even adjust the passenger side mirror - it’s great!

i was told that the figure for one of the readings needs to be under 200.

mine was just over 4000…

yeah, i’m just sharing!

I expect a combination of an aggressive cam and a catalytic converter that’s probably been chucked in a box in a garage for the last 10 years don’t help!

I’ve been driving the berlingo while an engineer was away and found that it had horrendous understeer in the wet.
Further checks on the budget tyres showed them to be the wrong width and profile…

Took me a while to notice how tiny the tyres are in the first photo

All-season tyres being fitted to the spare set of R5 alloys on Monday. Yes, the fwd electric car is the preferred winter car over the Cayenne. I had a look at getting Conti all-seasons for the original BBS alloys for my MX5 after seeing the Tyre Reviews test but since I’ve not had the underside Dinitroled yet I’m probably not going to use it when there is salt on the roads.

This is the first MOT in your ownership isn't it?

Does it make you suspect that the prior MOT tester for the previous owner was a recipient of some non-sequential used dollar bills?

Nobody who has used Lanogard on an MX5 seems to have anything good to say about it.

From what I’ve seen it seems to be more of a yearly top up product rather than one and done.

I’ve been looking at lanoshield for the Up, which they say has more of the active ingredient but also doesn’t smell as much. Will probably use traditional waxoil behind the arch liners, but not the bits I might be working on at some point.

I’d use Bilt Hamber, especially if I had a new car because they do a clear product so your car doesn’t look like it’s hiding bad things and added bonus for anyone working on the car

it had a decat and pops and bangs petrol fumes - i knew what i was getting!

What are they saying ?

It's amazing for salt, easy to top up and is an industrial coating. It's not as pretty as Waxoyl and Dinitrol but water can't get underneath it like it can on them.

After initially Waxoyl and then dinitrol I'll never use anything but Lanoguard now.
