At the other end of the scale my BiL worked for a company that was trying to scale 3D printing to make full-size buildings.

Re: 3D Printing
Can anyone recommend a 3D printing service?
Zoe has very narrow cupholders, and finding a cup that fits (and that my wife likes) is proving difficult. Someone created an insert that fixes the problem and uploaded the schematic to Thingiverse, so I figured I could have one made.

Re: 3D Printing
I'd love for building printing to hit mass use (as of yesterday) as house building costs are absolutely nuts here (and seems like everywhere), as much as I'd like to push over an old inefficient house (with a lot of "character") I'm not loading up on half a million dollars in debt to do it.DeskJockey wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 10:39 pm At the other end of the scale my BiL worked for a company that was trying to scale 3D printing to make full-size buildings.

There is definitely merit in exploring it. Whether it equals or betters other modern building methods I don't know.RobYob wrote: Tue Nov 11, 2025 11:25 pmI'd love for building printing to hit mass use (as of yesterday) as house building costs are absolutely nuts here (and seems like everywhere), as much as I'd like to push over an old inefficient house (with a lot of "character") I'm not loading up on half a million dollars in debt to do it.DeskJockey wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 10:39 pm At the other end of the scale my BiL worked for a company that was trying to scale 3D printing to make full-size buildings.
