I've stuck to Sony TVs over the last few years which run Android TV and play Youtube fine. The one thing I have done to make it tolerable is subscribe to Youtube Premium. I don't pay for Sky or Netflix or anything so I am happy to pay for the one I do actually use.

Today on my home page I'm getting videos I didn't have any interest in watching from 4 years ago and a video of Rufford Ford from 2 years ago that I did watch.
Have Youtube decided to try to focus on the vast amount of content which is on their servers but they have not been promoting because they have been pushing freshly uploaded stuff with a clickbait title and a
face in the thumbnail? In principle I highly approve.
