Re: Dogecoin etc
I had about £5k in premium bonds for a couple of years and made basically nothing. You may as well play the lottery.
Most of my cash is in different funds (managed or not) which is doing ok. I have £250 in a trading212 account to play with, where I have worked out when to buy stocks but not yet worked out when to sell them…

Investments made more than actual working this year for me. The UK government haven't inspired anyone to work hard so I think I'm not alone. Also, as promised, they'll get no corporation tax from my company either.

Afternoon Playboys.
Hopefully you all rode the recent crypto surge and are now safely out again. Moved my Eth to Bitcoin then exited close to the top. The old Doge did very well and I know how many of you have those (zero).
Those with metals can now retire
.
I've been playing with 212 demo with mixed results. Shorting Gold so far hasn't actually worked out but with anything it will eventually. Being brave enough to use real money is the next step.
Anyway have a great weekend.

160% up on Greatland Gold, now called Greatland Resources.
Sold WH Smith's when only 4% up and bought more Taylor Wimpey as they have a very good dividend. I'm 19% down overall on them though currently after they had a big drop.
Dave!

I’ve not been following the news about this cycle whatsoever. Are people saying this is the end of the bull run?Broccers wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 12:36 pm Afternoon Playboys.

TACO. Just remember that.
Pull back and look at the bigger picture - Trump isn't worried about what's best for America or the American people. This is just the next in a series of manipulations that will enrich his inner circle and those who are lucky enough to be connected to his datastream of 'consciousness'. The market was set for a little pullback on Friday anyway, and Friday's have been pretty atrocious of late too. When enough of his buddies have loaded up with longs we'll springboard up to ATHs before you know it. He's already started to walk back some of his talk about not meeting Xi.

Re: Dogecoin etc
As has become the norm with the Trump administration some crazy crypto trades happened minutes before Trump announced his China plans…
How about not having a sig at all?

Ahhh okay.
I had a quick look around and there's some suggestions that the top of the cycle could be as early as late Nov. Definitely going to pull some more out around then, especially if we see another ATH.

You know the greater fool theory? Do you think the greater fool is Trump, or people like you?Broccers wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 9:07 am A lot of money was lost and made over the weekend.

It's funny as if you believe all you read from people like Tom Lee then it's still going to explode Eth in particular https://bloomingbit.io/en/feed/news/98626Gavster wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 9:36 am Ahhh okay.
