Being a plonker

Post by integrale_evo »

I knew my bank card was expiring, went into my banking app and saw a new card listed, ooh must have a new one on the way!

Clicked to add it to my Apple Pay wallet.

Oh, now my old cars has vanished. I thought you had to use the actual new card before it was activated.

So now I have no card, can’t get cash can’t get petrol unless I go when the kiosk is open. Don’t actually know if apple pay will work yet, and don’t want to try unless I’m stuck unable to pay for something 😁

Apple Pay will work before you receive your physical card.. does it have a start date on the card info (in your app?

I got a new card in September and my Apple Pay worked during the cross over. I also didn't have to update any details in the Apple Wallet. The only change I had to make was my autofill card details. I had to amend the new end date and 3 digit code.

Bloody hell, that's pretty significant!

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

Thankfully I was able to pay for my lunch (and yesterdays tab) with Apple Pay. Have also dug out a credit card just in case I need a physical card anywhere 😅
