I like it too, but did some reading and 7 second 0-60 would be a bit too slow for a fun car for me.
How about not having a sig at all?

It has the BBR200 kit, so it’s more like 5.6.

I still like the green one but that says more about my weird taste than anything else :? Needs to be cheaper though and he's not budging enough.

I think 5.6 is the current generation MX5. This one is 7.9 as standard and 7 with the kit from what I can find out about it.

This is an NC1 with the BBR200 package. I make it around 6.2secs with a 1-off attempt, not using all available revs (and the top end is where this kit provides the biggest increase over std). If it was important - with more attempts I can see that dipping into the 5's - the mods raise the redline to 7.5krpm so you shouldn't need the change from 2nd to 3rd.

Anyway - I was thinking fast-enough but cheap to buy and run rwd track car, rather than road car.

Current generation MX5 doesn't do it that quickly. Some US mag got a 0-60 into the sub-6s bracket with the usual rollout, so low 6s would be my estimate.

Not sure mine felt like 5.4 but it did surprise a lot of cars so not impossible.

Take the wing off and move the no plate and this is alright. May explode though.

Autocar do all their figures with 2 people on board and a full tank of fuel, plus they average it in two directions to account for wind, gradient etc.

I reckon I could manage a 5.4 with just me on board if I chose the right location and day. Be interesting to see what the 220 would do in an independent test.

Saw an original RR sport yesterday and it confirmed what I’d always thought, that they would age well.

Something like this seems positively understated compared to more modern LR products.

Not bad. I prefer them without the step/rock slider (not sure which it is?) on the sills. Like this.

Aye, I just posted the first one I found with the diesel V8 and sensible wheels

Shame that it’s too old for the 4.4 V8 afaik.

I think that era Discovery (Disco 3) has aged very well but I can't say the same for the Sport. They're very common on the road, often look rough/badly driven and they're associated with the criminals in Line of Duty and generally with people who like dags and caravans.

I still fancy grabbing a late Disco4 again. Without sliders or steps obvs. I don’t have any need for one however….

I think that mid 00s era (disco 3, early L322 RR and RR sport) was a high water mark for LR design wise. They’re all a bit overstyled now imo.

That era of RRS has an awful image IMO. Very chintzy and often leaning to one side because of knackered suspension that the owner doesn’t want to fork out for.

Disco 4s still look good. A mate had a couple from new, all in black, classy looking motors.

Two of the three, yes. Even the Freelander 2. But not the first RRS. Second one feels even more of a car a psychopath would drive.

Life would be boring if we all agreed

I wouldn’t disagree that there are more ruined RRSs than (what I would consider) good ones. I think that with the right spec they’re nice though.

Image doesn’t bother me as I’m scum anyway
