FAO Gavster - Chocolate Orange!
FAO Gavster - Chocolate Orange!
We need answers. You must be wrong about this.
Re: FAO Gavster - Chocolate Orange!
I was reading a moan recently about Terry's Chocolate Orange shrinkflation. Apparently they were originally 175g, reducing to 157g nearly a decade ago, and now to 145g. A shameful 83% of it's original size!
edit: no I wasn't reading about it - it was a point specifically made by @Gavster in one of his tickety-tock motion pictures.
wot I had forgotten I watched
- but on the flipside - I did watch.

You really notice it when you go abroad. They have normal sized snacks and confectionary whereas everything here seems like it's made for The Borrowers.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: FAO Gavster - Chocolate Orange!
I know it's not viewed as proper chocolate, but I do like a Terry's chocolate orange
In the same way that I like a good quality burger, but on occasion I also like a dirty burger from a van or a McDonald's

They're not what they once were. Aside from having shrunk, like every bit of confectionery in the UK, to my palate they taste relatively shit compared to how they used to be. Could be rose-tinted taste specs of course.

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

I watched his video, lasted about 30 seconds then hit unsubscribe.
Besmirching the good name of Terry and his chocolate orange is a line I will not allow to be crossed. He then had the brazen cheek to say that coconut is the best Quality Street?
Madness. Absolute madness.

Re: FAO Gavster - Chocolate Orange!
I remember reading that our taste buds get smaller/less sensitive as we get older and hence we typically enjoy stronger flavours eg cheese, coffee, olives etc .. when older that are terrible to young uns #shakesfistSwervin_Mervin wrote: Fri Sep 19, 2025 2:24 pm They're not what they once were. Was. It's gone shit though..like Cadburys. Production moved overseas and recipes tweaked for cheapness.
