Needed both the big dials to be pointing straight up and the temperature at 22c too really ;)

A quick photoshop will sort it if you wish. Still trying to work out the De La Soul reference that was missed.

The TT failed it's MOT on broken rear springs, which is a bit embarrassing.

So it will now get a full Billstein B12 suspension kit all round, plus top mounts, bushes and whatever else I find.

Pah, was hoping to do that next year.

Dave!

Exhaust not too boomy, sounds great on full chat, will try and get vid. Overall very happy.

1:10.

Didn't stop to take a decent photo as it happened on a ridiculous journey yesterday when at 3 in the afternoon I got a call to drive from Bedford over to Telford then back to Norwich. Traffic was of course utterly screwed and I was diverted in turn; off the M1, then the M6, then the A14 and the icing on the cake was being diverted off the A11. So by the time the milestone rolled around I was two hours later than expected and weren't stopping for anything.

I did check some time ago that there was no gear that achieve 22mph @2222rpm sadly.

Full set of Michelin PS2’s ordered for the 4S, a remarkable £565 fitted from Costco, taking advantage of the £80 forum mentioned discocunt.

295 wide rears

Whilst the other work is gojng in, and I am going to replace all the dampers now, going to go bilsteins B6, one of the spring platforms has also cracked sadly so that will be platforms and dampers all round, plus front topmounts, and the rust sorting will wait for the winter.. I might engage Mr Flew on that front..

PS2s really have had an amazing lifespan, I remember using them in 2007 on the M5.

I had them on my RS6 many many years ago, they are the only matching Michelin’s, in the 225/295 size and still
regarded as the best all rounder, It has conti sport contacts but they have never blown me away on previous cars, and they are past it- fronts have had it but they are about 8 years old now!

Yoko AD08R were the next option but maybe a bit TOO EXTREME for exclusively road use :o

Also whilst the cars off the road I am very tempted to whip out the front diff, prop and driveshafts and make it a 996 C2S..

I remember how gutted I was when I fitted PS3s to the M5, stupidly believing them to be one "more" than PS2s - they were utter shite.

Apart from the obvious, what else will need doing to make it RWD? Presumably messing with the electronics?

Nope, it’s a pretty basic 4wd system, just remove and go really, commonly done on big power turbos in the states..

The weight loss is only about 45kg I think but makes a noticeable WHP increase and the car is not struggling for traction with “only” 320bhp

295 tyres and all the weight hanging out the back. Would take some effort to leave some smokey 11s
