I have just had the most ridiculous race on Assetto Corsa. 8 laps of Thuxton in 2CVs against 15 AI. I was giggling like a loon all the way round. Great fun and I highly recommend it.

Won a lot in a liquidation auction from one of these gaming arcade places that sprung up everywhere- I got a redbull racing e-sports branded playseat evolution pro and a Logitech g29 wheel/pedals for the sum of £100 including fees, which I don’t think is too bad a price really

First few goes and you realise how much a controller really flatters you in how fast you can go from lock to lock, but braking is miles more natural and easier to control

It’s hard work but a hell of a lot of fun

That's a buy and a half. Good effort.

Late evening, so only 6 folks in this race tonight at Circuit Of The Americas.

I have no idea how to record the screen, so this is phone potato cam of the TV. Bite me.

I’m in the yellow Lambo starting on pole. OK but not awesome start. Unlike P2 who gets away well. We gently tap doors on the run up to turn 1. There is no radar feature in Project cars 2, so the fact we didn’t touch again as we ran side-by-side through the next 7 corners was just hard but mutually respectful racing. Can’t ask more than that. 8-)

I’m on top at the end of this clip, but a half-spin on lap 4 of 5 left me insufficient time to recover the lead. Ballz.

Looking impressive, first I've heard of it, when is it due for release? Looks to be a while off the way he was talking.

I need to upgrade from my (son's) old PS4 to play this, but it would appear it's going to be (visually and physics-accuracy) excellent. 8-)

Also - from their FAQ

> Will cross-play multiplayer be supported?

> Yes, cross-play is supported in Project Motor Racing and parity across platforms is one of the driving features of the sim.

So that's highly 8-)

It may be cross compatible but be aware that parity across PC and consoles isn’t ever a thing unless they totally lock down and nerf the PC version.
How about not having a sig at all?

It'll be crossplay between console and PC not between PS and Xbox.

And now I'm wondering which is the best way to jump.

I've kinda discounted 2nd hand consoles, as they aren't usually that much cheaper, you don't know how much they've been used, and you lose some/all manufacturer warranty.

So looking at new :

a/ PS5 Disc. Around £420 with 1TB storage
b/ XBox. Similar money for the console, but I'll also need a Brook Raslution (or equivalent) converter for my wheel/pedals. Call it £525-ish all in.
c/ Just get a PC. Decent spec for £1000 :?:

PC option also might need a convertor for your wheel.

I got my series X for £260 off off marketplace. Plenty available.

Still amazes me how little a spec £1000 gets you in the PC world these days. It's insanely expensive if you want decent frame rates at 1440p (which, imo, should be minimum for gaming) and 60fps.

Still not sure how we got to £2000 graphics cards, but I digress....despite the cost, id still find the extra and go PC for simming. Far more flexibility in peripherals and modding.
