Lots of our guys are building data centres in America and no-one has any issues that I’ve heard of.

China we have to have a special work phone and laptops through set up by the IT department.

Ah, I'm thinking the policy in general rather than it being explicitly weaponised:

2019:
https://www.theregister.com/2019/05/01/ ... rrantless/

2017:
https://www.theregister.com/2017/03/28/ ... _searches/

And from earlier - 2009:

So it's been around for ages - but the express use of it to deny entry to foreign nationals (and threaten US nationals) based on their opinions and nothing else is a bit more recent, agreed.

The Evo forum really is a shadow of its former self. I remember when the internet was for the elite and now they seem to let any spastic on

The full empathy quote which gets cut off.

“I can’t stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made-up, new age term, and it does a lot of damage. I much prefer the word compassion, and I much prefer the word sympathy. Empathy is where you try to feel someone’s pain and sorrows as if they’re your own. Compassion allows for understanding.”
