But she's faster than any man, so let her have the outright record.

But it would be the outright record, wouldn't it? Or are there male, female and outright records?Jobbo wrote: Thu Sep 20, 2018 10:02 am But she's faster than any man, so let her have the outright record.

Male and female, are there not? Why not just have one?

I still think it has been pretty heavily photoshopped!Jobbo wrote: Thu Sep 20, 2018 10:00 am I'm with Dave. Amazing achievement and I don't disregard land speed record cars for not being able to pull away from traffic lights without help.

Looking at that picture made me LOL as to me it looks (going right to left) like the ages of man - the same person at 40 years old, 60 years old and 120 years old

Re: Cycling land speed record
I agree with this. I'm no SJW (as I think we all know) but gendering sport, etc. is to not disadvantage the 'weaker' (cue howling) gender - if there's no disadvantage to women from being lumped in with men in this instance then let her have the outright record.
This logic surely applies across the board... other than for Serena Williams. I'm up for her playing in the mens tournaments from now on - if we're going to have to listen to her whine about made up gender inequality in tennis umpiring and smash rackets like a petulant child then it may as well be for a real reason

Cheers for the close up of the bike, interesting double chainring thing going on for the gearing.
Bonkers riding that close to the vehicle in front. Amazing driving keeping that steady. I wonder how many times in testing she went out of the slipstream and suddenly got a 150+mph wind in the face.

Left over crest; tightens.
