RIP.

Only 6 Apollo astronauts are still alive and only 4 moonwalkers.

A long life very well lived. R.i.p..

A random fact regarding Mr. Lovell; more time has passed since the film Apollo 13 was released than had passed between the film and the flight.

He also appears in a cameo in the film Apollo 13. He was told that he would be greeting the crew after they return to the aircraft hanger as an admiral. He said he left the Navy as a Captain and would remain one. He's wearing his old uniform as he shakes Tom Hank's hand.
