to be fair, it was incredibly easy to access some pretty fucked up stuff. I’m kind of glad that it won’t be easy for my and others kids to access it now.

i just need to find the right method to access that fucked stuff for myself now.

I'm certain we were using VPNs before becoming teenagers to download music off Limewire. It's probably even easier to circumvent these days as you can ask one of the many AI sources for how to get round anything.
How about not having a sig at all?

They really are monumentally thick these people, aren't they?
That's insane. What normal person comes out with that sort of hyperbolic distasteful nonsense?
Apparently he knew it would get headlines and that's why he said it. Entirely on the basis that it's a bit of mud thrown at Farage, and some might stick. Basically the same tactic Farage uses against others, turned back on him.

It did just sound to me like a modern version of Godwin's Law but I can see why it might have the intended effect.

I think they're playing a dangerous game and stuff like that is more likely to backfire on them given the state of the country and the political parties just now. Not something you need to sensationalise given what they think its going to protect children against though.
Cheers,

Mike.

Someone who wants Reform to win the next election.
Exactly my thoughts.

It's remarkably stupid to try that when Starmer - rightly or wrongly, and I'm moving from the latter to the former lately - is getting a fucking kicking in the press.

Unfortunately, the chances are they *will* see more fucked up stuff. The only sites who are abiding by this law are the legitimate grumble sites, your PornHubs and the like; those are the ones that are well moderated (as well as can be).

Alas, kids going out and searching for stuff are far more likely to be pushed down to the sites that *aren't* abiding by it...the same sites who don't really care what's published. It's why this doesn't work.

It's why at home people should be monitoring what kids are on, not focussing on blocking. The latter is whackamole. The former can be used to educate.

All you need is a VPN which obviously, is no longer something that only the nerds know about.
