Spotted an ‘egg of some variant whilst I was being chauffeured to Goodwood

I presume it was going to the same destination.

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Christ, are you going for the Beany Photography Award or something?

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
It was doing about 40 mph on an empty dual carriageway at 6am! Given the speed differential it wasn’t a bad attempt

2 Elise’s in the sunshine. An s2 with a beige roof
Don’t remember ever seeing a white s2 come down the production line, they were mainly black, greys, blues with the occasional ruby red and yellow one. Would have looked a million times better with a black roof.
And a yellow s1
still a great looking car.

A former work colleague had (possibly still has) one - he’d owned it from almost new, used it for his honeymoon, used it to bring his first-born home from hospital, used it almost daily to commute to work, used it for his first-born’s wedding just a couple of years ago.
We used to meet up occasionally, along with an MGB-owning colleague. Here’s the last time we had lunch
If the Galaxie had fold-down rear seats it almost literally would have fitted in there

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
And a reverse-spotted if that's a thing, i.e. being spotted. For some reason there's regularly roadworks on the road through Sandhurst. One afternoon this week, in the 360, sitting stationary, there was a young lad on a mountain bike on the pavement on the other side of the road, loitering staring at his phone. When the lights went green he whipped the phone up to film me driving off. So I gave it some.
I'm always reminded of @Gavster's point that driving an interesting car in an otherwise a mundane situation is a form of public service. It brightens someone's day.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Exactly that @Sundayjumper nice work
when I had my E30 325i prior to @Rich B owning it, I was on the way home from my girlfriend's, around late morning on a Saturday. She called, so I pulled over, and she told me she'd left her jacket in my car and needed it back. The road was clear in both directions, so I put it in first, buried my right foot, applied a little bit of steering and then dumped the clutch, performing a perfect emergency start U-turn. As I wiggled down the road and pulled into 2nd, there was a group of kids on the pavement literally cheering me on
bet it made their day.
Actually had a few instances of that kind of stuff in that car, probably because it was sooo easy to drive like a hooligan in it

Nice mk1 Escort near Coventry in the Shell race series markings

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
I had a 500E on Swiss plates following me for about 20 miles this afternoon. Nice arches.

Walked past the Aston dealer last night

Perfect car for doing the shopping in London.
On the one hand it is pretty incredible that it is road legal with that body. You hear about cars all looking the same because of legislation but then you’ve got this thing which has LMP style aero.

My old Elise for sale...if anyone wants a mechanically sound (at least, back in 2018) but cosmetically tired one:

Went over to Ireland when I sold it, so obviously made it's way back again.
Edit - interesting; no matches on the registration plate for MOT or history checks. Guest it's only recently been re-registered back over here...or hasn't been, and they've just slapped the plates back on.

Spotted this lovely old Citroen last week. When I were a lad these were a fairly common sight on the roads but still seemed exotic to a young me.

Re: Teh Spotted Thread
Spotted various interesting cars over the weekend on a trip down to Hampshire and back, but the one which sticks in the mind was a Ferrari 12Cylindri. It looked great on the road. A few miles later I spotted Caffeine & Machine which I didn't realise was on my route, so I'm assuming it had been there.
