Re: Glastonbury 2023
Prodigy set was great as usual, it’s the first one I’ve watched since Keith died, and was a big reminder that Liam Howlett is the Prodigy and everyone else is largely window dressing. No disrespect to Maxim, Keith, Leeroy, or any of the current band members, but the show would still absolutely slap with only Liam and the lighting engineers. And that sounds like a band name.

Watched the prodigy last night with some headphones and loved it.
I get that a lot of people won’t like that sort of music, but that’s the energy and enthusiasm I want to see from a headline act, not Coldplay, 1975 etc.

I’ve not got around to watching any of it yet but the Prodigy will likely be the only one I’ll bother with. Maybe the Libertines if they’re on iPlayer.
I’ve not heard of the majority of the lineup.
In other news, the first Oasis gig is tonight

I watched the Prodigy's set (most of it) - excellent energy and some sadness thinking of Keith.
John Fogerty was great, best of the ~80yr olds performing I think, but the iPlayer only has about 22 minutes of his set when the setlist I found online has 14 tracks, so they've cut quite a lot. Wonder if he said something nasty about poor orange Don.

This. Tbf, I'm not remotely into Scissor Sisters but they also put on a really great show. Which only served to further highlight how utterly dull Charlie XCX's headline set was.integrale_evo wrote: Fri Jul 04, 2025 9:49 am Watched the prodigy last night with some headphones and loved it.

We saw them in Glasgow (2nd night of this tour). Really enjoyed the night (although support was Alison Goldfrapp which I thought was going to be good, but it wasn'tSwervin_Mervin wrote: Fri Jul 04, 2025 11:03 am

Prodigy was a serious set!
Still on the watchlist - Floating Points, Overmono, Gary Numan
