2:45 can be represented with the hour hand alone. But this is advanced watch reading technique and if I had to explain it I would have to kill you afterwards.

I tend to do a mixture of both. In a proper code brown moment i don't even think about it - it just as quick as I can get the lock on. See below (10m:07) when I hit oil on the circuit. Other footage I've got from the S1 when doing deliberate skids at the hairpin i let the wheel rotate itself.

Around 4mins 10secs you see how he has to completely open his grip and use fingertips only to allow his hand to pass over the top and (barely) retain contact with the rim. The walloper.

I was always told there should be a very slight bend in the elbow with the hands at the top of the wheel.

Which is how I drive, cause it's the coolest innit. Other hand free to scratch, tickle, drink, vape.

Your lollipop is in the post Matty. Standard position check is that you should be able to rest both wrists on top of the wheel rim without pulling your shoulders off the seat back.
