We actually drove past this

Also the fact the carpark only had work vans and taxis - that’s exactly the type of person I’d imagine going in there to perv on young women.

Oh good, told you it was the notable thing about Nottingham and you couldn’t avoid it 😄

I remember fondly my first (and only, I think) visit to Hooters in Nottingham. I’d never heard of the place. We watched Lock Stock at the cinema at lunchtime, food at Hooters after then drinking til very, very late. I was 18, halcyon days.

I'm not entirely sure the engine is a good choice but it makes it very usable and there's obviously a huge amount of work gone into the whole thing.

It’s an interesting idea and looks nice, but an american classic without V8 rumble is a step too far for me. i also struggle with the idea that in about 6 metres of car, the only place they could find for rear speakers was the whole rear footwells!!!

That's my main qualm with it. Maybe a modern V8 diesel would feel like a better compromise.

As for the speakers, yeah, those are very cheap off the shelf boxes. They could have been tucked under the seat far better with something custom. I do understand not wanting to cut holes in the original trim though, and the car was never designed to accommodate speakers. A single 6x4 in the top of the dash was the original "hifi".

Nice, but no mot :?
The only problem with that is it if I bought it I 'd want to go straight off on a decent road trip somewhere, Nordkapp or the like.

For usable I'd want ac and cruise, more mpgs don't make any difference when it's sat in the garage. I'd have to hear it going to decide what I think of derv6 instead of petrol V8, but I think as long as isn't rolling coal specced it'll be ok.

I didn’t spot that. Expired 24th March. Assuming the Autotrader URL still shows the listing date, it been for sale since 18th March. Quite curious they didn’t put a fresh MOT on when it’s going to be an obvious question any buyer asks. OTOH it’s got a clean MOT history up until then. No alarm bells from that.

It’s got the cool airplane style 4 zone vents in the roof and a cool box supposedly, which I reckon both must be the least specced options.

I thought I'd seen it before, probably on here. I assume a case of "New mot will be put on when sold " but a bit odd not to mention it in the ad.
Spec wise, I don't know what they came with as standard but it doesn't look to have uprated speakers :?
How much would you want off because it hasn't sold for three months?

I *think* the ceiling vents are a default part of the “L” long wheelbase option - along with the vanity mirrors also in the ceiling. Cool box is a really… cool… option so I’m surprised they’ve not included a picture of it. It’s all a bit curious isn’t it ? CBA photographing all the features and CBA putting an MOT on it (for whatever reason :? ).

You guys are no f**king help btw.

If it helps, I’ll buy it for 4 grand in a year after you’ve fixed everything!…

I don’t know about the F02 but on the E66 the roof vents were an additional option as well as the long wheelbase. I always wonder how they engineered it because they have a sun roof too and looking at the pics with the doors open it’s not going through the B pillar. I could check RealOEM but some magic tricks are best left unknown

Curiouser and curiouser... it's not been taxed since 3 July 2022 - not long after an MOT on 5 April 2022 @ 95,390 miles. The next MOT was 25 March 2024 @ 100,898 miles - despite not having being taxed for quite a while. The advert doesn't give an exact mileage but says 101,000. Looks like it's not been anywhere recently and probably not since the tax ran out in '22 ?? But they cared enough to MOT it again in '24.

I'm starting to have feelings.

Can you really claim to have an SJ spec collection without a BMW saloon? I mean, it will be a gap that you'll feel like a missing tooth...
