Buy my Mondeo

Post by tim »

So the trusty Titty-X is for sale. On ebay now £500 no reserve for a week. Someone may get a real bargain.

https://ebay.us/m/tHywuy

A car I bought for a stop-gap after Maurice had to be put to sleep I ended up keeping for 21,000 miles and 2 year 2 months. I wouldn't be surprised if it would do another 100k, but who knows eh? I will miss it. Torquey as fuck, goes very well, super super comfy and refined on a long journey. 9/10 would recommend.

Love a Tim advert. Always well written, though I was surprised by a classic ebay 'Here we have' opener. Redeemed itself with the capitalisation of CASH though

lol thanks. I really wanted add "do not underestimate how quickly I will tell you to fuck off" after the THIS IS NOT NEGOTIABLE bit, but I reckoned ebay would filter it out.

Honestly I will scrap it before I deal with idiots of any kind :D

My neighbour is quite interested, but he's got a Megane 225 that keeps breaking before he can sell it, and a camper that keeps attracting idiots offering half the price of it. He's not allowed more projects till he gets rid of those

Yeah, he's got that impression from the ad  he's a bit gutted!

(because I think at that price, it'll go fast and without fuss)

27 hours to go and so far, it's a fairly knobber free.

Yesterdays lol was

"HELLO GOOD MORNING, WELL WHAT CAN I SAY I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN BUYING THIS CAR BUT IN THE PHOTOS I CAN'T SEE THE ADJUSTED HOLE IN THE WINDSHIELD. SO IF POSSIBLE AND KINDLY COULD YOU TAKE A PHOTO OF ME SO THAT I CAN BETTER ASSESS THE CAR I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL. I'M ASKING BECAUSE IF I'M FAR FROM YOU I NEED TO EVALUATE THE PURCHASE TO KNOW IF I WILL NEED TO CHANGE IT OR IN THE FUTURE TO BE ABLE TO DO THE M.O.T. I THINK YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND ME THANKS"

but the guy has 500+ positive feedback so maybe just forrun.

This morning's 3am message was the classic corker "Hi how much would you like please?". £1,000,000 Sir. In cash.

Sold for £820. Happy with that, assuming he's not a dickhead. Have exchanged a few messages this morning and appears to not be but we'll see...

Spoke on the phone - he's getting the train up from Buckinghamshire tomorrow afternoon. Appears to be an easy transaction. Have relaxed CASH rule.

Sounds like a result then, nice one.

I think you could definitely market your services as an eBay ad writer.
Cheers,

Mike.

:o Well that's doubled the cost of it.

I can't give 10/10 for the ad, it didn't include "James Bond Spec" or "Too EXTREME for 5th Gear's Jonny Smith".

I hope it all goes smoothly.

He was the nicest guy, very happy with the car, super easy transaction £820 in my bank and off he went home.

I’ll miss it, it was a cracking motor.
