I nearly sank the boat once if that helps.

Tip - allow some slack on the rear anchor line to allow for tide.....

Oopsies.

There’s also that one with the Viper V10 engine.

Morbidelli. I remember seeing it in Performance Bikes in the 90's, funny looking thing, I don't think it ever caught on.

I've not ridden my RT since I parked it up after my 2000 mile French trip, so I took it out this morning. After riding My 748 a few times, the FJR1300A service bike, the Street Triple on the knee-down course, and the MT-09 loaner, all of which I really enjoyed, nothing comes close to the "rightness" of sitting on this thing and carving through traffic.

I see BMW have launched the new 1250 models now, another 11 bhp with variable cam tech. I expect we're knocking on the door of a £20k fully loaded RT in '19 spec. I don't think I'll be parting from mine anytime soon though. It's the best bike I've owned by a country mile.

12k service tomorrow, and then a new front tyre Saturday. £500 all in, but worth every penny. Hoping to get something interesting to borrow for the day while it's being done. S1000R/RR would be nice!
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

My dad was mentioning over the weekend how much boat you can buy for a reasonable price - they must depreciate more rapidly than Vauxhall’s in % terms. Warned him to not buy something too big as they seem to go wrong often. The amount of newish low hours boats on new engines is quite something.
How about not having a sig at all?

I note that it has a "Windlass Electric Anchor" - does this have a "Tide" setting ??

I actually think I'd have more fun on this than an S1000RR, taking road riding into account. The riding position is spot on, it's power light compared to the RR but it's still absolutely nuts, and has the most impressive brakes I've ever experienced on anything. The Quick shifter - something I usually don't like - is incredibly smooth as well, in both directions.

The little aero screen is just enough to keep it comfortable at progressive speeds. That akro exhaust sounds brilliant, nicely pops and bangs on the overrun but isn't stupidly loud.

I don't have to return it until tomorrow morning. I suspect I'm not going to get much work done today :p

I see a lot of good press about the naked version yeah, and it's a whole level up from MT10. I'm still toying with swapping my K8 for Street or Z900RS though, all that power makes me do silly things on the big bikes, I think something more moderate but fun is the way to go. Like your 748, fast enough but not jail term stuff.
