Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
Jeez louise - that GT2 is a monster isn't it. Bit embarrassing for Ford.
Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
Nah not really - the GT looked about twice the size it needed to be to monster that circuit. But yes - that GT2 - heavens above, what a weapon!
Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
He didn’t seem to get a decent lap in with the other cars. His last lap he uses all the track and chicanes, with the other cars it’s all a bit half arsed, looks a bit setup to me.
How about not having a sig at all?

With lowering magazine sales they're relying on that Porsche retainer even more these daysMito Man wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:39 am He didn’t seem to get a decent lap in with the other cars. The Porsche retainer is used to feed Sutcliffe burgers.speedingfine wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:47 amWith lowering magazine sales they're relying on that Porsche retainer even more these daysMito Man wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:39 am He didn’t seem to get a decent lap in with the other cars. Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
Having raced at anglesey he did seem to be coasting round the quicker corners in the other cars and on it in the Porsche, could just be the feel of the cars of course as the corners are deceptively quick!
Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
The back "straight" would need a slow/high aero car to hold flat from the exit of the previous 180 corner exit wouldn't it, I enjoy it for the ballsy nature of it. Same goes for the kink before the big stop at the top, only car I've taken that flat in was a sorted Elise with front splitter/rear wing and sticky tyres. I agree with their comments about it being a great test for car and driver, it's more challenging that it might appear on video.Foz wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 12:46 pm Having raced at anglesey he did seem to be coasting round the quicker corners in the other cars and on it in the Porsche, could just be the feel of the cars of course as the corners are deceptively quick!
Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
Pretty much yes, but appears he's using more throttle in the 911 than the other cars, in our mini at ROR in the dry its flat all the way, in the wet its a slight lift to tuck in and flat.Barry wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 2:34 pmThe back "straight" would need a slow/high aero car to hold flat from the exit of the previous 180 corner exit wouldn't it, I enjoy it for the ballsy nature of it. Explained by it having much more traction with it having all the weight over the rear wheels?Foz wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 2:50 pmusing more throttle in the 911 than the other carsBarry wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 2:34 pmThe back "straight" would need a slow/high aero car to hold flat from the exit of the previous 180 corner exit wouldn't it, I enjoy it for the ballsy nature of it. Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
No, its because evo are paid by Porsche, or something equally retarded that no doubt has already been posted in the comments on that vid!!
'Oh hai evo it's Porsche, look we've got all these GT2 RSs left over that noone wants, can you please say something nice about them kthxbai'

Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
Well if they’re not paid by Porsche then how are they still running?

How about not having a sig at all?
Re: EVO magazine YouTube channel thread
Their video output now seems limited to one random effort every 6 months coinciding when Steve Sutcliffe happens to be at Anglesea doing something else and they can borrow him for 5 minutes in exchange for a days supply of bacon butties. On that basis, as far as online content goes, they aren't running.Mito Man wrote: Wed Sep 19, 2018 3:50 pm Well if they’re not paid by Porsche then how are they still running?![]()

Well there's a pretty clear demonstration of the superiority of a dual clutch gearbox.
The manual clutch in the Exige was clearly more of a hindrance than anything else.
