No more motorcycle TF days.

Well, Fk.
Dunno what to think of it really.

I've no desire myself to ride round it quickly on a sports bike, but i'd do a sedate lap on the 500x round it, annoying everyone by being to slow.

Which maybe isn't the point of the place, but it's a shame for the riders who did go there regularly and enjoyed putting in the laps.

Not what I'd want to share in the bike thread but I was at the BSB round at Oulton today.. huge pile up right at the start of the Supersport race, 11 bikes. Just seen the update on the situation:

Not a good weekend for motorsport. A mate at work is an autograsser and told me about this this morning. Horrible stuff.

A fairly brutal reminder that while motorsport is tremendous fun, it's also dangerous. RIP to Richardson and Jenner, Speedy recovery to Tunstall.

Saw that on Facebook. Horrible stuff and drives home how dangerous racing is. Far too many facepalms in the comments like “why was a 13 year old driving etc” from people who have read a terrible worded tabloid (mirror I think?) headline. As if parents, family and friends don’t have enough to deal with.

RIP.

Police Investigation

Seems a bit unusual - or is it just standard protocol where there are fatalities? :?

I suspect it's normal practice tbh, any death needs explaining etc. Lessons to be learned and all that.

It’ll be to check for malpractice and negligence, basically to check that it is genuinely a freak accident and there’s no one to point blame at

This appears to be a (larger capacity) scooter type thing rather than a motorbike, but still pretty brazen. From the still shot they just look like a pair of kids.

Same difference these days, there's big scooters and auto bikes, either way they make very efficient getaway vehicles 🤬

London is rife with it, just as most cities.

I'm glad this never happened to me when I was travelling through cities in Colombia (Yes, the Reel Mik has posted is maybe Brazil?). I thought phone thieves would do that kind of thing when you're stationary, not moving...quite brazen, as you say!
