Scott, you must be gutted at the impracticality of the Alpine. I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands for £5 and a bag of Revels. Deal yeah? 8-)

But the point wasn't total space, it was why Porsche & Ferrari are able to make the front boot full depth whereas the Alpine isn't.

Boot capacity was about 15 cu ft from memory. 15.4?

Still hard to fathom how Porsche can fit a boot three times the depth in a Cayman yet not possible for the Alpine. Looks like they just tried to make it a regular shape/depth at the expense of size. Although actually - the pictures on this thread suggest it is more useful than it looks:

The Alpine is 20cm shorter than a cayman though - its hardly surprising that everything is packed in tighter.
