Re: Trump
Not exactly on topic, but I saw a video of how the Ferrari shields are painted on. Yes it looked pretty labour intensive, and the end result looked good, but was probably a couple of hours straightforward work for a reasonably skilled painter using precut stencils. Plenty of comments along the lines of “that’s why they cost £14k”
Erm, nope. They cost £14k because Ferrari can get away with charging their customers that!

Re: Trump
I saw that too. I didn't realise they're hand painted but looking deeper into it there's 2 versions. A much cheaper regular metal shield and then the £14k hand painted one. Everyone just states that the shields cost £14k but I imagine the vast majority must not be hand painted!
How about not having a sig at all?

IIRC the metal badge option on the 360 was something like £600, add 20-odd years’ inflation and it must be at least double that in modern money. It included different wings with a recess for the badge though. Arguably some cost there running two presses, two part numbers.

"President Donald Trump intensified his attacks on US central bank boss calling him "a major loser" for not lowering interest rates"
I still genuinely don't understand how American's continue to tolerate him.

Trump, delivering the condolences of the United States at the Pope’s passing, while standing next to a man in a Rabbit suit is about the most Trump moment in Trump’s Presidency
Re: Trump
He can't fire Jerome Powell, but we know the law doesn't mean much to these twats. If somehow he managed to get him out the door before his contract expires next year anyway, then the current market turmoil will seem like a blip in comparison. We're already seeing investors flee the dollar - this will trigger an exodus.

Latest angle is that you can’t be expected to give people the constitutional right of due process because it takes like aaaaages man and it’s really difficult you know ? So unfair.
If you made an election promise that would take 200 years to achieve, that’s totally on you.

The odd thing is that the US has been deporting non US citizens at the end of their sentences for years. I got slightly involved a while back supporting a charity who looks after them, and UK Citizens in foreign jails - Prisoners Abroad
At an event, I met a guy who's mum was an illegal in the US for years before marrying a US man and having children. He served time in prison for a non violent conviction and on release, was deported. Never been to the UK before when he landed on a Saturday morning in Heathrow with no access to services until Monday.
