That's nice - I had no idea massage seats were even an option in them.

You now get to nod knowingly at other Audi S-car drivers. Ignore the RS drivers, they're show-offs.

 I believe the RS models incur AMG/M tax on parts, whereas S parts are a little better for poor people like me.

I wasn't expecting the massage function, not sure how often I will actually use them. I am 99% sure it has a heated steering wheel as well, not sure what else it has as an option. I think LED lights that are adaptive, but they could well be standard.

Thank you, It looks really nice and they are ceramic coating it before I pick it up. I retained my plate last night, so if it arrives Thursday I will have the new car for a trip to Aberdeen to see various relatives.

If not, I will get it Monday. A good long road trip would be grand, I can get my wife to check the manual to see what the buttons all do.

Very nice! So is that the same drivetrain spec as Jobbo’s S6?

Very much no - mine's diesel and Gavin's will be petrol

@Gavin there does appear to be an S-tax too but Audi seem to be relaxing it; I couldn't take out an Audi service plan on my S6 when I bought it (not at a sensible price anyway) but was offered one last year which wasn't much more than the one I had on the previous Allroad.

A petrol with good power, you have made the correct decision.

Lovely looking car that.

The S5 got the TDI engine in the 2020 model year. Seems that is the year Audi ceased to produce full pdf brochures so you can find one online for the petrol S5 but not the diesel: https://press.audi.co.uk/assets/documen ... rtback.pdf - massage function appears to be standard which I was not aware of. Certainly not on my S6 even though the seats look pretty much the same.

No - the S5 is on the MLB platform and the Superb is on the MQB. S5 is about 150mm shorter and 10mm narrower.

the 6 inch reduction will mean it doesn't overhang pretty much every parking bay. It was the handling that I really disliked though.

I didn't realise there was that much of a size difference!

Fair point on the handling - the Superb doesn't
