Which, perversely, plays right into his hands. A lot of people buying European cars for the style/quality/kudos will be very reluctant to go domestic and will find the money. Or keep their current car slightly longer, which limits s/h supply and helps residuals, which when fed into finance calcs, at least partly offsets the higher sticker price on the new cars. When a lot of (most?) buyers only care about the monthly this could have far less impact on sales volumes than “+25%” might suggest.

It’s still stupid though. I’m not condoning the idea.

Yeah, I doubt everyone will suddenly buy a Cadillac, it'll just make European cars even more of a status symbol.

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault. <---we're at this stage, expect them to somehow blame the democrats before the weekend.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.
Pretty much what is happening now.

They weren't discussing war plans or attack plans and it wasn't classified information as they didn't mention exact grid locations and routes to be flown, and besides that guy from the Atlantic is a registered Democrat and an anti-trump sensationalist reporter anyway.

Trump called the well-respected journalist a ‘sleazebag’.

Imagine that, from the pussy grabber.

Utterly inconceivable than the aircraft types & launch times were not classified at the time. They're hanging on a tenuous argument that when made public *after* the event, classified information was not published. That part is true. But sharing it with a journalist *before* the event, it was definitely classified.

Quite. That's why it's 25% - he has no sense of proportionality or nuance. There is no logic behind it. It's just a number that he likes. Everything is 25%.

The Nasdaq Composite is the worst performing index of all the major regions year-to-date, down 7.3% on a total return basis. That compares with a 6.8% positive return from the FTSE 100, 12.9% gain from the Dax and a 17.5% winning turn from the Hang Seng.

Slowest of slow claps for the slowest of slow Presidents 👏

I'd hate to be CTO or a security developer at Signal right now

I bet every nefarious hacker will have doubled their efforts now, knowing that they're conducting secret/sensitive operations on Signal

If they haven't already got the info, it'll be nation state attackers, and the damage will be significant.

Feel there are zero descriptive points left that Trump hasn’t actively and deliberately chosen over the more democratic options..

This one in particular jumped out:
…a belief in Manifest Destiny or a revival of historical greatness
LITERALLY their brand. Literally literally. 1000%. 12/10.

The only one they’ve not openly subscribed to yet is the master race thing. Not yet. They’re real close though. They just need to cleanse history (as above) roll back civil rights (already in progress) and fully normalise the current massive racism first.

A further definition quoted on the wiki page:
[A] cult of the leader who promises national restoration in the face of humiliation brought on by supposed communists, Marxists and minorities and immigrants who are supposedly posing a threat to the character and the history of a nation ... The leader proposes that only he can solve it and all of his political opponents are enemies or traitors
Yep.
