I love the new Z-car. It's a really fantastic shape; quite similar to a Supra or GR86 but obviously with some Datsun heritage cues. Maybe the fact that we can't have it in the UK makes it more exotic too.

Concours-spotless Escort outside Wickes. Externally at least, totally original spec. So nice to see one that’s not arched, slammed, retromodded, rally rep etc.

I passed two cars in the first two miles out of my village this morning. The first was a Mitsubishi Evo IV in white, the second was a GR Yaris in white. Separate; I doubt the Yaris was aware there was another older rally rep half a mile ahead of him. I wish everyone driving to work was an enthusiast.

Blimey, spotted another Evo VI on the way back from lunch, in blue this time (solid blue not the nice metallic which was offered). Two in one day.

Today on the M42: an Evo VII. Spring seems to be making the 20+yr old Mitsubishis flower.

This belongs to a friend of a friend and is usually parked round the corner from me. I don’t know much about them other than they’re built in the Cotswolds and I think he said £170k has gone into it

ETA £189k OTR and uses original Rover 3.9 - https://kilvingtonclassic.com/

I know restored RR classics are 6 figures now but that’s expensive for a car which looks like a real mishmash of eras. I bet it’s got a soft dash inside 😄

Reading the website it is just a load of codswallop. I'm sure the quality of the workmanship and components is outstanding, but the writing is awful.

Those aren’t genuine AMG alloys and I’d say the front does not sit so nicely.
