Re: Which GPU?
Going to be reusing my iCue 7000X full tower case so doubt space will be a problem
Although I will need to install an AIO top side this time around (Arctic Liquid Freezer 3, not fussed about lcd screens on a cooler), even with the improved cooling of the 9800X3D.

Re: Which GPU?
What FPS are you getting with your current rig in FS2024?
You settle up, I'll go get the Jag.

Still on 2020. I’ve been waiting for VR to apparently be better which I’m reading may now be the case. That and the 777 working properly. And now that I’m so close to getting this new machine setup I’ll stay with 2020, curious to see what the 9800X3D does to the notorious single thread performance in 2020. I’ll then go to 24 quite soon afterwards.

Order placed. 9800X3D, 9070XT Sapphire Nitro+, 64GB DDR5 6k, 1200W PSU, Gigabyte X870 mobo, Arctic 420 LF3 AIO (never had water cooling before) and a 34” Gigabyte MO34WQC OLED monitor. If flight sim fails to run well on that the GTFO
When the GPU is finally here I’ll be selling the RTX3080. If anybody is interested (never OC’d it’s been a fab card) then let me know. i7 12700k too I suppose.

Re: Which GPU?
Could be interested in the 3080, although have no idea what they’re worth secondhand. I trust you more than an eBay random though
Keep thinking of upgrading my ancient dual 1070Tis but modern cards are absurd ££

Re: Which GPU?
Nah it’s component form and the GPU eta is early April. In theory. But it’s either wait months and months for plenty of stock, and perhaps some further price increases, or get the order in and just wait.
3080 is an MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB GAMING Z TRIO Ampere Graphics Card, to give it its full and overblown name. Based on eBay (urgh) something around 300 quid would seem fair for forum rates? Should be available end April latest I hope, all depends when the 9070 gets here of course.

Bump this thread or send me a message when the new one is up and running please
Cheers, Harry
Re: Which GPU?
3080 is still a great card - it'll monster through everything at 1080P and I still max out most stuff at 1440P, so for about £300 it's a bargain considering the madness of current graphics card costs!!
