Awesome news Dave! 8-)

We've done our first open day just last week. Our boy is in Yr4 so he's got another year before deciding which to apply for. But we want to see what's what first. I think we may have looked at the most impressive one first - King's Macc - albeit it comes at a cost. My old school MGS next month. And then it's much later in the year for the state grammars in our area.

I’m so surprised how much you end up caring about this stuff, you think you’d be more relaxed but it’s quite stressful!

Nice one. 8-)

Great to have stretch goals too - when I was a young sprogule (about 7yrs old) I promised my dad that - when I won the football pools (as the Lottery didn't exist back then) I'd buy him a yellow mini (not MINI). 8-)

Good news Dave!

I vividly remember promising my Grandad a Maserati. Not sure if that’s what he asked for or it was my favourite matchbox car at the time. Closest I’ve got is handing my Dad the keys to my Boxster when I visited at weekends.

Well this is a 512TR so he better get a move on or I’ll be too fat and too old to get in 😂

Congrats, that's excellent news! My grandmother always wanted me to get a green Volvo to drive her around in.

Well played junior. Linking exams and cars, I remember a speech day at school when I was in my 'O' levels year. A local business man had been invited to address the school and present the prizes. At one point he assured us that doing well in exams was the difference between riding to work on a bike or driving to work in an E-Type Jag (it was a long time ago). Needless to say I made sure I got the results I needed, and in retirement I still drive reasonable cars!
