Re: Trump
Trump: We're gonna tarrif Taiwan and China and take chip production to the US!
Also Trump: Fuck the people who run the CHIPS act backend that will take advanced semiconductor production to the US, lets sack all the probationary staff, around half of whom are on CHIPS related work.
https://semiwiki.com/semiconductor-serv ... bationary/
It's genuinely hard to believe if this is Trump acting as an asset of a foreign adversary to the US to undermine American industry, or if his lot really are that dim.
Flip a fucking coin I guess.

Re: Trump
I saw multiple different reports of that, so it was either real, or a very, very good hoax.
Either way, it got lots of eyes on, which means Musk and Trump have almost certainly seen it....
(I mean the displaying on real screens in a real building, not the very obvious deepfake with two literal left feet)

Apple says it is working to fix its speech-to-text tool after some social media users found that when they spoke the word "racist" into their iPhones it typed it out as "Trump."

Re: Trump
Trump has apparently been talking to the Tate brothers, and they’re now on their way to the US.
Cheers, Harry

Of course he has and of course they are.integrale_evo wrote: Thu Feb 27, 2025 10:01 am Trump has apparently been talking to the Tate brothers, and they’re now on their way to the US.
It’s amazing that nothing in all this surprises me anymore but at the same time it’s impossible to predict what he’s going to do/say next.
Re: Trump
Alarming, isn't it?
Especially in the context of various commentators trying to extrapolate from his "We'd always be there to help Britain out" comment. Is it a commitment to military support in a time of need? Of course it isn't, it's just another soundbite that can be conveniently forgotten or denied afterwards.
We are in a diplomatic world where any agreement is only valid for the literal moment you're shaking hands. There is not a single thing that can be said, agreed or even signed on that wouldn't be rescinded in a heartbeat for a slightly larger bag of gold or a more temporarily convenient narrative.
