I'm trying to buy a laptop for the GF. I thought it would be pretty easy but it isn't - if you want occasional gaming. She only plays Sims or Hogwarts with her niece sometimes.
This laptop apparently cant handle games:

But this one, with similar specs, can?https://www.currys.co.uk/products/asus- ... lsrc=aw.ds
Why is that? Is the Zenbook really going to suffer that much with fairly low frame rate games?
TIA
Can someone please explain
Re: Can someone please explain
The Zenbook has integrated graphic and the Asus has a dedicated graphic card looking at the spec. Which does the heavy lifting for gaming. It's also specifically a gaming laptop where as the Zenbook is probably more focused for general use.
Probably worth adding the Zenbook might be able to play some games on low settings, but it would probably be a poorer experience. Low FPS etc.

I bought this for the boy for Christmas about a year or so ago as he wanted to play BeamNG and it's also decent for school work.
It will play any game (setting dependent) but doesn't struggle at all with any modern game, plays Forza, FIFA, Sims etcs at highest settings.
