New lot of cunts, same as the last lot is as damning an indictment on our politics as I can come up with

Whatever tech valley consulting work he moves onto after. Being a head of state is just a stepping stone to the real money these day.

Is Reeves getting the push? Was surprised to see the Beeb running with 2 hatchet job articles against her today, both on the home page. A colleague says it's popped up as an Apple new alert as well...

Same day as the release of the GDP figures. Warming up the oven to cook some turkey!

Seems like they need someone to blame for low growth and it’s her.

She is directly to blame for low growth between the increase in NICs and spreading negative sentiment about the state of the economy and the imaginary black hole which she's turned into a real one. At least Hunt's unpleasant medicine steadied the ship - now we have more tax and a more unstable economy. Not that any of that was a surprise however.

Constantly rounding up 5 1/2 years to “best part of a decade” seems to be taking the pee a little bit for someone supposed to be good with numbers 😄

I’d say that blaming the shit economy on someone who’s been in the job for 6 months is a bit premature when it’s been shit for what, 5 years?

Vote for a change get the same short sighted, reactionary moves

She definitely hasn't helped though. But then she was hamstrung by the wider party policy commitment to not raising taxes "for the working man". 1p on NI, or even reversing the Con measure of 1.5p off would have been enough, rather than expecting business to pick up the tab.

There has been a clear and direct negative impact from the policies she has implemented.

If you look at the productivity figures from the public sector that show the same or lower productivity as per Covid despite a much greater spend, you can be 100% sure any extra cash raised will go straight into a black hole never to be seen again and for nothing in return.

Oh for sure, I’ve hated most of the economic announcements so far.

It just reeks of repeatedly making the same mistake and expecting the result to be different.

She'll be made the sacrificial goat but she's just towing the party line. Doubt it would be any different with any other chancellor.

I’m not sure who Starmer’s Labour is for tbh. They’ve pissed off trad labour voters and all the centre right voters they got at the election.

Who’s left?

I have a feeling the farmers protests are going to end up being an astroturf campaign like the trucker protests in america tbh.
