It's always a boost leak (TM JL)

Got someone interested in the Mondeo now that I've reduced it to £2500 (obviously) so hopefully that'll shift tomorrow :)

Done just over 2500 miles in the GT3; I am not going to pretend that it’s the perfect car for the congested British roads, but when the traffic becomes light and I get to wind it up....., it’s majestic.

Interestingly (or not), so far it averages 22.29mpg, whereas in 13k+ miles the Carrera returned 20.61mpg. Positive comments from other enthusiasts too at petrol stations, which is nice.

More pics because why not?!?

What was the original mileage YK? I imagine you're ticking that up quite nicely 8-)

Navara lunched a front wheel bearing on Saturday, left the mrs stranded so I drove over and confirmed the problem and called the aa. They arrived and instead of recovery sent me off to euros for a new one £100 later and when I got back and it was in bits, 30 mins later then new part is fitted and I’m back on my way home. Can’t say enough good stuff about the guy, needless to say he earned a bit extra from it.

What mods on it?

Like the picture in Lynmouth, brings back memories from my honeymoon where we stayed nearby.

MOTON suspension
Porsche Nomax Recaro (came with Sports seat originally like the ones in my Carrera)
Alcon 2-piece front discs
Rennline engine mounts
Clubsport fire extinguisher
Porsche Motorsport Cup diff

That picture was taken from the Coffee Mill; my friends’ place, so do visit for a cuppa / cake if you ever go back ;)

Nartnapa Thai Kitchen at the Fat Belly Brewery up the hill was quite excellent.

Yes in an ideal world that’s exactly what I’d do but I’ve doubts as to whether they even realise what they’ve done / have the knowledge to fix it.

Noted - how odd. I always thought they had a good reputation.

How do well-known companies like this last so long if they fuck shit up?

Sounds like a brilliant spec. 8-)

Because most of their competitors are shit too and people now accept mediocrity.

When I had the original install done one of the vacuum lines was apparently mis-routed too close to the engine resulting in it getting melted. That particular outfit came 2nd and 4th in class at Le Mans racing 993 GT2s - go figure...

I thought it was only in this part of the world, but frankly it sounds like it now applies everywhere - there's just no alternative to supervising the guy on the tools if you want it done properly. Very sad, frankly.

That was with Parr then?

Annoying to say the least.
