Re: Trump
An abortion ban in Mexico, after he deports them ?
Anyway, I thought the “GO HOME” message on the website was a nice touch.

Re: Trump
Putting an end to remote working for federal staff. Probably not an entirely bad idea tbh although there will be huge disobedience while people are forced to adjust.
The fun irony is he signed it in the White House, which is his official residence now, where he has a kitchen (with chef on duty 24/7) and bedroom that he can use anytime he wants during the day. Exactly what employees won’t be able to have any more.

Re: Trump
Disobedience? Aren’t US employment laws pretty shitty? I can see mr musk helping with the same tactics used at Twitter. Put up or get out.

Re: Trump
Yeah, but there’s some strength in numbers here. If say a million people resist & disobey while also working to rule it will stop an awful lot of other stuff happening (donold doesn’t personally do any anything, it relies on millions of federal employees to make it work) and take forever to work through the disciplinaries while BAU grinds to a halt.
This sounds optimistic perhaps. I’ll say this - while a lot people might have been ambivalent about electing a felon rapist conman as president, they’ll be dcuking pissed about having to go back to the office full time.

Re: Trump
For clarity, I regularly chat with about two dozen LGBTQs in the US.
This is not an exaggeration.“In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now,” said Budde, who was looking directly at the president. “There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican and independent families. Some who fear for their lives.”

From the article:
That was donold asking "wasn't the nice pastor from yesterday available, the one with the crypto scam ?"When Budde finished her sermon, Trump leaned over to say something to Vance, who shook his head in response.

I mean, they knew what to expect. It's the Gays for Trump who are about to get a shock when they start rolling back gay marriage.

Trumps tariffs on China from his first presidency are still in force and Biden even added to them. Ironically the tariffs Biden implemented on Chinese EVs and solar greatly benefit Elon.Sundayjumper wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:26 pmBut not China ? All the anti-China rhetoric was transparent lies and simply giving him 50% ownership of TikTok was all they had to do ? How about not having a sig at all?

Re: Trump
Not the point, I'm not arguing whether tariffs are good or bad. He said he was going to expand the Chinese tariffs further then suddenly isn't because they're giving him 50% ownership of TikTok and blocking content he doesn't like. Meanwhile he's carrying on with his threats against Canada & Mexico simply because they won't give him a wowwipop.Mito Man wrote: Tue Jan 21, 2025 9:45 pm Trumps tariffs on China from his first presidency are still in force and Biden even added to them.

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time”
Seems pretty apt huh?
They've had Trump 1.0, we've had months of KNOWING what the he'd do if he got back into power, and now people are all 'surprised Pikachu face' when he does it? Christ on a bike.

He's still not understanding that "asylum seekers" <> "asylum patients" is he ?
Just for that sermon she's more deserving of a Nobel Peace Prize than he is or ever will be. Saying all of that, very eloquently, right to his face, she has more balls than donold & his cabinet combined.
