Surprise is an emotion elicited by unanticipated events. The ability to accurately predict and anticipate events is largely determined by one’s ability to correctly identify, interpret and codify past and current events.

If you are experiencing surprise at what most would consider to be entirely predictable events, it is likely down to an inability to accurately assimilate information from the world around you, or an inability to accurately process that information.

Musk has got into a spat with a streamer. Said streamer called out Musk over the whole fake PoE2 game stats stuff, and Musk publicly 'broke up with him', questioned his gamer credentials (a bit fucking rich) pulled his verification, and published DMs from him to Musk....

...where Musk proved he doesn't know what a video editor is. He very clearly thinks that a streamers 'editor' decides what the streamer does - you know, how the editor-in-chief of a newspaper decides what the story is going to be, sets the agenda etc, like when the editor of the Daily Mail decides which minority group to have in their five minute hate section on for this week.

He doesn't realise that an editor in the context of streaming (and video production generally), takes a four hour stream and 'paraphrases' the interesting bits down for VoDs (where you can watch it after the fact on youtube or twitch if you missed it). Cutting out the bits where the streamer breaks off to have a piss or get some dinner between sessions etc (where they'll typically leave the camera and stream running)

Musk has been sucking up to Capital G Gamers for years, and all of this has just made him look - to another group of people who know something about a subject he professes to be knowledgeable on - utterly fucking clueless.

The person - and I use that in the loosest terms possible - is Asmongold, an anti-woke freak who reportedly used to use the rotting body of a rat as an alarm clock, as when the sun came in his room, it'd start to stink and wake him up. His house was infested with roaches and piled up with garbage. He truly is the epitome of the Capital G Gamer class that you imagine - an, a bigoted idiot with the social awareness of a box of cornflakes, no personal hygiene to speak of and a distinct tinge of incel about them, most recently famous (and temp banned from twitch) for saying he has no sympathy for Palestinians because they're an "inferior culture". But it's OK guys, I don't like Isreal either! Soz my bad lol!

A complete fucking loser like that just made Musk look like a clueless blowhard. To his 4million daily viewers on youtube alone. Never mind Twitch.

Amazing stuff. I am starting to wonder if, when we flipped on the Large Hadron Collider, we got flung into the universe Stanley Kubrick would have created if Dr Strangelove had an infinite budget and had gone on for sixty fucking years

It's truly embarrassing that one of the most powerful men in the world is so cringe.

Like putting aside the fake gamer shit and changing his twitter name to Kekius whatever, getting into a beef with a lowlife like asmongold is z tier streamer behaviour.

And also so like Trump.

> Tell blatant lies
> Get called out for telling blatant lies
> Attack and attempt to discredit those who call you out, claim fake facts, cover with more lies

For all these guys wealth = truth. :?

He’s still just a rude cunt though. Once he starts making weaponised vehicles to invade/slaughter people he’ll join the ranks of the established manufacturers. But he’s also stuffed in that regard as you won’t get far with an EV in a war.

Actually BEV and Hybrid give you a number of advantages on the battlefield and next gen armour will likely go that way. Long loitering time, High voltage systems and signatures.

And a multitonne battery doesn't add much when you're lugging tens of tonnes of armour.

Back on topic I don't wonder if Musk has done substantial long term damage to Tesla and SpaceX. I would hope so, what an delusional despicable mofo.

No, he's way past the rude cunt stage. He's performing terrible actions, and those actions have helped out a convicted felon and adjudged rapist in the white house, he's supported AfD, and he's trying to destabilise our own democracy. 'Rude cunt' is far away in the rear view mirror.

Tesla yes, and European sales and surveys confirm as much. We'll start to see the effect of that in the coming quarters financial reports. SpaceX not so much because there is no alternative really.

An interesting take on whether that was a Nazi salute or not that I heard online earlier: if it wasn't a Nazi salute, and if it was innocuous, then try doing it yourself in Germany, or at a school or something

Personally, I don't think it was consciously done as a Nazi salute (and I'm in no way a fan/supporter of Musk)

I just think it was a reactive gesture, with no thought/consideration as to what he was doing or how it would look

The kind of mindless abandon that comes with being incredibly rich and powerful/connected

I think he did it because he just doesn't have to care or restrain himself in any way

Total bollocks. No one does that on stage and doesn't know the connotations. Especially not someone with his family history.

Agree completely.

If I can be rude and amend your comment Dave, I see it as the kind of extremely conscious abandon that comes with being incredibly rich and powerful/connected. He's got a god complex.

For me it seemed like he was extremely happy in the moment and lost what little self control he usually has and then reverted to an action he does frequently in private when celebrating. Probably whilst making love to Meloni.

Speaking of weird hand gestures. Anyone notice Barron Trump doing that weird thing with his palm towards the sky when Donald thanked him.

Spoiler

Obviously its subtlety different because Baron is touching his ear but Elon's gesture was also a bit different. Presumably for ass covering.

Elon Musk gave a certain and deliberate Nazi Salute because he felt empowered to do it - like "Nothing can touch us now"

I'm gonna put on my Hugo Boss uniform, add a few Hindu good luck charms, then head into town and spontaneously & emotionally throw my heart to passers by.

Also - if anyone is unsure whether it was a nazi thing, just ask some nazis if they think it seemed a bit nazi.

That’s not an effigy made of a thin skin full of total garbage with a death threat attached.

It’s an image of an impromptu tribute of love, being upside down was a simple mistake in the passion of their excitement and they had no idea it’s where Mussolini was displayed ! It’s just a lovely square with lots of space to….. hang out.
