That vid needs the title “Unbelievable Restraint”

What’s a 959 worth now?

The closest I'll come to owning something resembling one are the wheel trims I've fitted (the Tamiya one was/is fun also), maybe an interior if I ever get one retrimmed.

Anyone being following the Taylor Hetherington/Auto Alex/Josh Gresswell controversy?

If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

I watched Josh's video. Then I found out Taylor actually runs a car sales business. I'd not buy a car from him, put it that way

Some of the comments on Josh’s vid about his car sales have been rather eye opening.

Shame they’re dodgy, he’s had some decent looking stuff I’ve been tempted by before!

Want to make money by being well known on social media? Probably best not to have a dodgy business. Reputations can be lost pretty quickly.

Did think it was is odd that the E28 content stopped. I like Josh's content and watch most of it, wasn't aware they were trying to mess him about. Rather pathetic, really.

The Auto Alex content never really caught me, he comes across very annoying.

You mean Taylor's car sales or Josh's? So far only seen criticism of the former, but not read them all through.

Comments about Taylor’s business dealings in the comments section under Josh’s video.

I didn’t mind the auto Alex / carthrottle stuff but haven’t followed him since, bits and pieces I’ve seen have been way more childish that what they were doing before.

I thought Taylor was a MOT tester before going on to YouTube. Don’t watch their content now as I just find them annoying but a year or two ago I remember Alex did a video with him where they had a turd of a car on a ramp and Taylor was just describing how you could bodge everything to pass an MOT. Just silicone holes in the chassis and put tape over it etc.
So yeah, you wouldn’t want to buy a car from him.
How about not having a sig at all?

New Defender Octa - £160k and Matt Becker (previously from Lotus and McLaren) interviewed about his input.. can’t wait to see one parked outside Harrods! Anyway, support vehicle for Dakar Rally this year with a 3 vehicle entry for 2026 sounds great, and I wish them well.

Having been idly looking at these recently, you can no longer buy a new P525 V8, only a P425 V8, as the P635 Octa uses a BMW V8.. all the diesels (D250/350) are mild hybrid inline 6’s (surely a diesel V8 would be best for a big, heavy 4x4!?), whilst there still a low power hybrid petrol P300e..

Oh, and if you think that price is ridiculous - the G63 Mango Edition is now £204k!
Cheers,

Ian

I hadn't spotted the P425 before; it looks like the old supercharged V8 in a new state of tune. And replaces the more modern straight 6 Ingenium P400 petrol, which seems not to be available in any Defender; the P300e is a 4-cyl :(

Defender models are all over the place. Since being introduced in 2020 it's gone through about 10 trim levels, discontinued six cylinder petrols and four cylinder diesels, lost the option of clear glass, lost seven seats in nearly all 110 versions...
