That’s crazy, if it had been a different road layout they could have just spun out and ended up with minimal damage. Instead, it was the perfect layout of kerb to kick the whole car up into the lamppost and total the thing. They didn’t even look like they were travelling very fast.

He needed an armful of oppo and only gave it half an arm. That's a pretty terrible error.Matty wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 4:15 pm I've just watched that about 10 times on loop and I still don't understand how it's possible to end up like that.

Not being able to drive the cars you build for a living would be something of a PR distaster thoughdan wrote: Fri Jan 17, 2025 4:28 pmThis is true.
I took a 320hp supercharged honda s1 for an mot today and it would spin the wheels at low speed and low rpm in 4th gear which surprised me. I managed to not write it off though, which was nice.

£ouch.
Dashcam from an accompanying car? Only a glimpse of binnacle top to guess by.
It wouldn't have happened to a 959.

Old school lag, fat tyres, slippery roads, I bet it was no more than a brief spike of power and slight slither and an ‘oh shit’ jump off the throttle. Hey presto, full mustang into the hedge.![]()

Saw it’s supposed to be the highest mileage f40 in the world. If it needs a new windscreen it’s now worthless

With F40s, when they were current cars, loads of them had replacement front and rear shells for only minor knocks. I had an issue trying to shift one where a previous owner had left the receipts for these in the history file when it had gone to auction, so the internet declared it as worthless.
However, I got Ferrari round to give it a Classiche folder, which declared it a perfect car except for the aftermarket exhaust!
£330k in 2012 - I think it last sold for £1.2m in 2019!

And another one- this one belongs to Lando Norris, and as he wasn’t in the same country as the car at the time, it’s definitely not him driving it

There was a reason they stole the widowmaker tag from the 911 turbo
later reclaimed by the 996 gt2!
