Which hoover?

Have been happily using a Shark for the last 18 months but I worry that the rubber blades on it are a bit "harsh" and are accelerating the wear on the deep pile.

My wife still likes the Sharks, even though the pet-hair ones aren't any better than anything else for avoiding hair getting wrapped round the roller. I just get the Henry out when I need to vacuum anything up, like plaster dust or broken glass, and it does so brilliantly without complaint or ever going wrong.

Someone must be getting close to developing a robot hoover which isn't defeated by steps? Its 2025. I'm not asking for a jet pack.

That's what I'm talking about!! What a time to be alive.

Now waiting for the inevitable video where a robot hoover starts to pick up dog tots from around the house and stacks them in a nice pile.

Yes, I had to unblock the hose a couple of times when large pieces of a smashed glass cloche were being hoovered up, but it was still massively easier than trying to use a Shark or Dyson!
