Bully XL
Re: Bully XL
Saw one of these for the first time yesterday (in a ropey town in Wales). They're fucking hideous things to my eyes.
Re: Bully XL
Many ones you see over here are bastardised and not close to what the breed should be like.
Hopefully the breeders who are doing this and the dogs removed from the gene pool so the real XL Bully can come back at some point.
Dave!

Re: Bully XL
Nah, wouldn’t hurt a fly.
A few weeks back our border terrier, who is always friendly and waggy-tailed with every other dog in the park, decided to run in the direction of a bully and bark at it (of all the dogs, cheers mate). I shouted at him to come back and devil dog started to run at me snarling. They do look hideous. I swung my leg back to boot it in the head, I know this would have been futile
The owner called it back saying “Sorry, he’s ok”
Yeah, delightful.
(Yes I know my dog started it)

Meanwhile bully owner is telling his mates about the prick and his yappy little shite of a dog

Re: Bully XL
This whole thing always reminds me of Siegfried and Roy
Their tigers were always docile and gentle
They never attacked anyone
Until they did
Same thing with these dogs
IMO it's always about risk: how likely is it to happen, and what is the impact when it does?
It might not happen frequently, but when it does, it can be lethal

Just deleted a comment as I’ll wind myself up but essentially Zedleg is correct and that is all.

Dog owners who can't control their dogs should be neutered.V8Granite wrote: Sun Dec 15, 2024 1:21 pm Just deleted a comment as I’ll wind myself up but essentially Zedleg is correct and that is all.

Re: Bully XL
And yet you called his dog that you admit your dog antagonised a “devil dog”.
If you start shit with the biggest guy in the pub and get hammered, is that his fault?

Re: Bully XL
Yeah I did. My dog barked at the bully, I called him back. The bully ran at me. What’s that got to do with the owner? He called his dog back, I’ve got no issue with him.ZedLeg wrote: Mon Dec 16, 2024 10:43 amAnd yet you called his dog that you admit your dog antagonised a “devil dog”.

If I saw someone winding up to kick one of my pets prick would be the mildest thing they get called.

Re: Bully XL
Would you have thought the owner of the “devil dog” was ok if he’d kicked your dog when it came running at his dog barking?
