No real surprise with new tyres. Tyres 20 years ago were really quite shite compared to what we have now.

If we're doing spotteds. I saw a yellow one being enthusiastically driven on the A830 out of Mallaig many years ago

Had the same experience near home but back in 2006 when the car was pretty much brand new and I was 19. Made my legs go all a bit wobbly.

I wasn’t taken by the CGT at launch as all the mags reported spikey handling. Fell in love with it big time when Michelin created new tyres for it and the mags reported a revelation in handling,
At that time you could get one for £275k second hand….. times have changed slightly now….

Yep I always though maybe I could buy one one day... then they reached £650/750k and I think well, maybe if my career turns out really successfully. Now though... don't think that dream will ever realistically happen.

Just before HbP chimes in I have (thanks to him) of course had a ride in one on the alpine handling circuit at Millbrook as well... in short, they're quite nice.

Shame the throttle readout in the vid isn't calibrated correctly - it's showing full throttle at many points where you can hear it's being feathered, and almost always shows full throttle when he's stabbing it for a H&T downchange etc etc
