The photos app is a disaster, also the swipe down control centre is now over three pages which is doing my nut in

Gav's complaints are similar to mine. I can't find photos from a particular year easily, and the control centre seems to move the bloody widgets/icons around randomly if you want to lay it out as you prefer. Agh!

I have 6Gb of storage left on the phone which apparently is insufficient for this update. Don’t think I’m missing much, unless it’s a major security release.

yeah, the photos is definitely a backwards step. it’s messy and harder to use. i don’t get why playing a video now defaults to using about half the screen size, its just odd.

I agree with all the complaints. It was so bad I opted in for the beta update in the hope things were improved but no, they totally ruined the email app too!
How about not having a sig at all?

Control centre updates are really annoying. I don't want tiny fiddly icons for important things like access to alarms. I expect they can be modified but its a pain.

This - the search is broken / fucking useless.Gavster wrote: Thu Dec 05, 2024 8:17 am The photos app is a disaster, also the swipe down control centre is now over three pages which is doing my nut in![]()

You can delete the 2 other pages in the control centre. Click the + in the top left hand corner and just delete the stuff on the other pages. It's basically the same controls but bigger on another page. Really odd and not useful.
I did see a tip on photos app. If you scroll all the way to the bottom of the photo app, there's a customise and reorder option. You can untick stuff to try and get a little bit of the old app feel about it. It's not perfect, but it might help.
