The reduction of speed limits to 20mph has caused the biggest reduction in driving enjoyment - both as a result of the fact that you are at idle in anything more than 2nd gear and also because of the huge increase in journey times that it has caused. On a slightly more irresponsible note it means putting your foot down from stationary to the limit isn't quick enough to give you a thrill even in first.
I've just been rewarded with three points for doing 24 in the 20 going east on The Highway just after Tower Bridge...
Strand underpass is about the only place you can enjoy a some pace and cornering in central London!

When it’s back on the road I’ll go back for a late night warble, London is quite wonderful when you aren’t on a schedule.

How long ago was that? I live by several of the old "Tunnel Run" destinations - two of the long ones have been incorporated into the London Bridge station redevelopment and the other has speed bumps.
After 11pm Monday-Wednesday is still fairly light on traffic, but with so many speed cameras, low traffic zones and time restricted access areas it is nothing like pre-covid driving.

I know!

I was pretty suprised with the points - I assumed that it would be a speed awareness course as I'm certain my last one (24 in a 20 again, on a section of road that had always been 30 until the week before) was four years ago.

I think it was when she was still working in Devonshire square so about 6 years ago.

Still do 30+ everywhere at night, I know it's only a matter of time but driving at 20mph at midnight on an empty road is
Even the Police still do 30 during the day on the odd clear stretch and don't care if you follow them at that speed.

On the supercar spotting front I'd say it's nowhere near as good as before, just don't see anything properly exotic these days. The Arabs don't bring anything interesting anymore and just stick to pimped up SUVs. Don't blame them really, all the good roads round Hyde Park Corner, the Tunnel, Sloane Street, Mayfair have been destroyed. Double yellow lines everywhere too so can't park anywhere either.
How about not having a sig at all?

I saw a Matt green with German luftwaffe insignia SLR just by the old Nigerian High Commision in Northumberland Avenue that night. By the Sherlock Holmes pub, It sounded like thunder and was bloody amazing.
